From 11 June, Brussels’ Horta Gallery morphs into a 1,500 m² playground of metaverse magic, VR chambers and 360-degree projections. “Jules Verne 200” invites you to step inside Journey to the Centre of the Earth, Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea, Around the World in Eighty Days, Robur the Conqueror, and From the Earth to the Moon. Digital installations recreate headline-worthy “photo-journalistic” moments from the 19th-century classics, while an intimate biographical section traces Verne’s path from Nantes to Paris and Amiens.
After touring this high-tech celebration – produced by Belgian outfit Exhibition Hub and Spain’s Layers of Reality (think “Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience”) – return to Yadoya Hotel. The property, a gentle ten-minute stroll from the gallery, pairs Japanese simplicity with airy rooms, origami-inspired décor and a fragrant matcha breakfast. A restorative night here turns your literary expedition into a memorable city break.
